Israeli Attack on Gaza Hospital Telling Example of War Crime: Iranian Spokesman

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the Zionist regime’s heinous attack on Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip as the very epitome of a war crime.

“The Zionist regime’s army suffered such a blow on October 7 that it is struggling to invent achievements for itself through false narratives,” Nasser Kanaani said in a post on his X account on Wednesday.

“The fabricated stories about activity of resistance groups in hospitals and medical centers serve only as a cover-up and excuse for the Zionist regime to continue its crimes in Gaza and the massacre of defenseless children and women,” he added.

“The brutal attack on Al-Shifa hospital this morning was a concrete example of war crime that must be prosecuted at an international tribunal,” the spokesman underlined.

The Israeli regime raided Al-Shifa hospital, the largest medical complex in the besieged Gaza Strip where thousands of patients, staff, and displaced people were trapped, destroying parts of it and also attacking medical and nursing staff as well as patients.

The Zionist regime has been targeting hospitals in Gaza since the beginning of its war on the strip on October 7, claiming Hamas uses them as command centers.

More than 11,300 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7.
