Official Highlights Iran’s Capability to Export Technical, Engineering Services to South America

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian companies enjoy high potentials to export non-oil products and technical and engineering services in the fields of infrastructure, mine, medicine, medical equipment, and agricultural machinery to Latin American states like Brazil, an official said.

The chairman of the Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce pointed to the high capabilities of Iranian firms in the export of technical and engineering services to other countries and called on responsible officials to prepare the grounds for the competent companies to develop their activities in this area.

Speaking in an interview with IRNA, Fakhreddin Amerian pointed out that the export of non-oil commodities is one of the necessities for boosting the economic situation in the country.

He criticized the lackluster performance in the country in the field of exporting non-oil commodities despite the high economic potential existing in the country.

Both the public and private sectors should cooperate in line with realizing the economic objectives of the country in the field of export of non-oil goods, Amerian underlined.

Exchanging economic delegations and dispatching commercial envoys to other countries should be taken into consideration in this field, the chairman of the Iran-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce added.

He went on to say that the joint chambers of commerce can play a very leading role in spurring economic activities in the country and can also help economic activists in solving trade barriers.
