Persepolis GM Trying to Dissuade Golmohammadi from Resignation

TEHRAN – Persepolis club’s general manager, Reza Darvish, is going to put effort into dissuading Yahya Golmohammadi from resignation as the coach.

Golmohammadi stepped down from his role on Monday due to financial problems.

Considering that Golmohammadi has verbally resigned from his post, Darvish is going to persuade him to think twice.

Branko Ivankovic, a one-time Persepolis coach and the current boss of Oman’s national football team, is among the candidates to replace Golmohammadi, but Darvish wants to keep the Iranian coach until the end of season.

Golmohammadi was named Persepolis coach in January 2020 and won three Iran league titles with the Reds.
