Dozens Dead, Wounded as Israeli Helicopter Opens Fire on Gaza Aid Seekers
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - At least 20 Palestinians have been killed and more than 150 injured in northern Gaza City after the Israeli regime attacked a crowd of people waiting for humanitarian assistance.
Gaza’s Health Ministry has called the attack “a new, premeditated massacre”.
The ministry said at least 21 people have been killed and more than 150 injured in the latest mass-casualty attack by Israeli forces on aid seekers in Gaza City.
The Israeli military’s spokesperson for Arabic media, Avichay Adraee, has denied reports that Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers in Gaza City.
The Zionist regime has repeatedly launched attacks on aid seekers and convoys in Palestine.
On March 3, at least nine people were killed in an Israeli strike on an aid distribution truck in Deir el-Balah.
In another incident on February 29, at least 112 Palestinians were killed and hundreds wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on people waiting for food aid southwest of Gaza City.
Ten people were reportedly killed on February 26 when Israeli forces shelled and fired on a crowd waiting for food aid trucks in Gaza City.
On January 25, an Israeli attack killed at least 20 people waiting for humanitarian assistance in Gaza City, Al Jazeera reported.
The Israeli soldiers had fired on an aid convoy on December 29 as it returned from northern Gaza along a route designated as safe by the Israeli army.
On November 7, 2023, an International Committee of the Red Cross aid convoy came under fire in Gaza City although the group did not assign responsibility for the attack.
At least 31,341 Palestinians have been killed and 73,134 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
