7 Workers Killed by Gunmen in Pakistan's Gwadar
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Unknown armed assailants launched an assault on a house in the Gwadar district of Pakistan's southwest Baluchistan province early Thursday morning, resulting in the killing of seven laborers, said police.
Local police said that some unknown gunmen stormed the house and opened fire at workers sleeping in the rooms, leaving seven of them dead and another injured in the Surbandar area of Gwadar, Xinhua reported.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site after the incident and shifted the bodies and the wounded to a hospital.
Chief Minister of Baluchistan Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack and reaffirmed the government's determination to root out terrorism and its supporters from the province, pledging to take decisive action against those responsible for such acts.
Pakistan's Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi expressed sadness and extended condolences to the bereaved families, emphasizing the government's commitment to bringing justice to the victims.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
