92 Airplanes, Helicopters Join Air Fleet during President Raisi’s Term


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A total of 92 airplanes and helicopters have joined the air fleet of Iran during the administration of late President Raisi who had assumed office in August 2021.

Also, new airport terminals have also been put into operation during the past three years.

Accordingly, a number of 66 airplanes in different models were imported into the country from August 2021 to March 19, 2024, seven of which were the light aircrafts with the training purposes.

With considering the total air fleets (imported and overhauled), some 92 airplanes and helicopters have joined the air fleet of the country between August 2021 to March 19, 2024, IRNA reported.

Launching a new terminal of Kish International Airport, as large as 49,000 square meters and also Saqez Airport, as large as 178 ha land area, constructing  phase II of Imam Khomeini (RA) International Airport, valued at €2.5 billion, with the aim of increasing the passenger capacity as many as 25 million, operating the four development projects at Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport, etc. were of the other projects done by the administration of the late President Raisi.
