Iran-Brazil Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Meeting to Be Held Soon


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Officials from Iran and Brazil emphasized launching the joint economic cooperation meeting between the two countries in the near future to spur bilateral trade and economic activities.

In a meeting held between Ambassador of Brazil to Iran Eduardo Ricardo Gradilone Netoand and Head of the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Iranian Plan and Budget Organization (PBO) Masoud Mirzaei, the two sides stressed their resolve to hold the joint economic cooperation meeting between Iran and Brazil.

They exchanged views on the latest situation of bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

The Brazilian envoy to Tehran also expressed condolences to the Iranian government and people on the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and accompanying delegation in a recent tragic helicopter crash in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan,

Stressing the need to broaden economic activities between the two countries, the two sides announced their  determination to hold the joint economic cooperation commission meeting and exchange economic delegations both from the public and private sectors of the two countries., IRNA reported.

Removing the existing problems and bottlenecks in the way of expanding trade and economic relations was another topic discussed at the meeting.
