Iran’s Saberi Claims Gold at 4th MoC Grand Prix
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mehdi Saberi from Iran claimed a gold medal in the 4th MoC Grand Prix, underway in Lagos, Nigeria.
Saberi came first in the men’s Shot Put also breaking the MR with 19.61m.
He beat Emeka Ugwu by some distance; the Nigerian settled for second with 16.64 m, while his compatriot Emmanuel Shakamomodu Audu came third with 16.16 m.
The three-day competition, which is gaining increasing international recognition, is taking place at the Yabatech Sports Complex in Lagos.
