Iran’s Shahrdari Gorgan Qualifies for BCL Asia
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Shahrdari Gorgan of Iran finished third in the FIBA West Asia Super League Final 8 and booked its ticket to the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia.
The Iranian side defeated the Kuwait Club 92-76 in the Third-Place Game on Saturday evening at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall in Qatar.
Now it can turn all its attention to the prestigious BCL Asia on June 9-15 in Dubai, where it will be going up against some of the top teams in the continent.
The winner will earn the right to play in the 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
Gorgan’s Salar Monji played all 40 minutes and finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds, recording an efficiency of 33 to cop STEP AHEAD Player of the Game honors.
