Hezbollah Launches Attacks on Israeli Military Positions in solidarity with Palestine

The Lebanese news network al-Mayadeen reported, citing a Hezbollah statement, that the resistance group targeted the headquarters of the Israeli military’s 91st Division at the Biranit barracks in the northern part of the 1948-occupied territories using surface-to-surface Falaq-1 missiles, resulting in partial destruction and casualties.

Hezbollah stated that this operation was conducted in support of Palestinians in Gaza and as retaliation for Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese towns and villages.

In addition to these strikes, Hezbollah members destroyed Israeli surveillance equipment at the al-Raheb outpost with appropriate weapons.

The resistance fighters also fired surface-to-air missiles at Israeli military aircraft that were flying over southern Lebanon, forcing the warplanes to retreat.

Later on Thursday, Hezbollah fighters targeted newly-installed surveillance devices at the Metula outpost, causing a fire at the site with a missile attack.

They also launched Burkan missiles at the Israeli al-Baghdadi outpost, precisely hitting the target and causing casualties.

A barrage of rockets was fired at the Zebdine site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

At around 11:15 p.m. local time (2015 GMT), Hezbollah fighters shelled a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the Zarit barracks with artillery shells.

Since October 7, Israel has repeatedly attacked southern Lebanon following the start of its genocidal war on Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of at least 36,654 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

In response, Hezbollah has launched almost daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions.

According to AFP, at least 455 people have been killed on the Lebanese border, including 88 civilians.

Hezbollah has previously repelled Israeli invasions in 2000 and 2006, forcing Israeli forces to withdraw in both conflicts.
