Iran’s Economy Grows 5.7% in One Year: SCI


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) said the country’s economic growth hit 5.7% and 3.4% with/without oil included respectively in the past Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024).

In this period, the mining and mineral sector registered a 6.9 percent growth, followed by the services and agricultural sectors with 5.7 percent and -2.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year, the SCI reported.

The export and import of goods and services also registered a 13 percent and a 9.5 percent growth respectively compared to a year earlier, the report added.
