Iran Moves Down in FIFA Women’s World Ranking

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s football team moved down two spots in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking, released on Friday.

Team Melli Banovan dropped to the 63rd place in the new ranking.

Japan, North Korea and Australia are the best Asian team in the ranking.

Spain (1st) consolidates top spot but La Roja has new challenger breathing down its necks, namely France (2nd, up 1). Les Bleues overtook England (3rd, down 1), and in doing so now sits in a lofty spot it has never occupied before. Germany (4th, up 1), meanwhile, has moved past the US (5th, down 1), who continues to slide in a downward direction.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be published on August 16, 2024.
