Iran 3rd in FIBA U-18 Women's Asia Cup Division B
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Samoa 64-59 on Sunday in the FIBA U-18 Women's Asia Cup Division B third-place match.
Sanaz Lashkariscored 21 points for Iran and Samoa’s Peata Manumaleuga collected 22 points.
Iran defeated Chinese Taipei, Kyrgyzstan and Samoa in the preliminary stage but lost to Lebanon 64-49 in the semifinals Saturday morning.
The Philippines also defeated Lebanon 95-64 and qualified for Division A.
The competition was held in Shenzhen, China.
