US, UK Warplanes Strike Western Yemen in Fresh Aggression

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - American and British warplanes conducted multiple airstrikes targeting western Yemeni provinces of al-Hudaydah and al-Hajjah on Thursday in order to halt the country’s ongoing operations against Israeli-linked targets.

The airstrikes focused on the Alluheyah District and the al-Haj area in al-Hudaydah, as well as the Bahis area in al-Hajjah's Midi District, near the northern border of al-Hudaydah province, Yemen's al-Masirah television reported.

Details on potential human or material losses from the strikes have yet to be disclosed.

These attacks are part of sporadic efforts by the United States and the UK to pressure Yemen into ceasing its operations against Israeli and Israeli-affiliated interests.

The operations intensified following October 7, 2023, when Israel initiated a severe military campaign against Gaza, targeting both Israeli vessels and those heading towards ports in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Yemen’s Armed Forces, collaborating with Iraqi resistance groups, have also struck strategic targets deep inside Israeli territories, including Haifa port and Ashdod city.

Yemen’s military has vowed to continue these operations as long as Israel persists in its aggressive military aggression against Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of over 38,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.

They also committed to maintaining their strikes as long as Israel maintains its blockade of Gaza, particularly tightened during the ongoing war.
