Two Dead in Thousand Oaks After One Man Shoots another, then Himself, Authorities Say
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A man fatally shot another man, and then himself, in Thousand Oaks, US state of California, on Friday morning, authorities said.
Ventura County deputies responded to a 911 call at 6:38 a.m., reporting a shooting in the 100 block of North Jerome Avenue, public information Officer Capt. Dean Worthy said, The Los Angeles Times reported.
Deputies arrived and met with an unharmed, and unnamed, 31-year-old woman who lives there.
In a statement, authorities said a 33-year-old man entered the home and shot a 30-year-old man before shooting himself. The shooter was found dead at the scene, and the victim was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities say they believe the incident is isolated, as the suspect and victim knew each other.
