Iranian Women Finish 3rd in Futsal Tournament in China
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran finished in the third place in the 2024 CFA (Chinese Football Association) International Women's Futsal Tournament.
The Iranian women had lost to Uzbekistan 7-5 in their first match and were held to a 2-2 draw by Vietnam.
Uzbekistan won the tournament and Vietnam came second.
The tournament was held in Lanzhou, China, from July 12 to 15.
The 2024 CFA International Women's Futsal Tournament was a round-robin competition.
Uzbekistan is preparing to host the FIFA Futsal World Cup. Three nations will represent Asia at the first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup, which will take place in the Philippines in 2025.
