Yemeni Forces Vow to Continue Support for Gaza, Retaliate against Israeli Aggression

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni forces condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on the country as "heinous aggression" and pledged unwavering support for Gaza, intensifying their attacks on Israeli targets.

Yemeni forces described the recent Israeli airstrikes as "heinous aggression" targeting civilian structures.

Despite this, an official stated that Yemeni forces "will not stop their support operations for our brothers in Gaza, regardless of the consequences and results."

Since October 7, when Tel Aviv initiated a war against the Gaza Strip, Yemeni forces have targeted the occupied Palestinian territories as well as Israeli ships and vessels affiliated with the regime.

The forces have vowed to continue their operations as long as the war and the simultaneous siege on Palestinian territory persist.

Adding to his remarks, the official asserted that the forces "are preparing for a long war with this enemy until the aggression ceases, the siege is lifted, and all crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are stopped."

He also stated that Yemen reserves the right to retaliate in kind against Israel over the recent attack on al-Hudaydah.

"They (the Yemeni forces) will respond to this heinous aggression and will not hesitate to strike vital targets of the Israeli enemy," the official declared.

Reiterating an earlier statement, he warned that Tel Aviv is no longer a safe place as it is within the range of Yemeni weapons.

On Friday, Yemeni forces carried out a drone strike against Tel Aviv, marking their most daring attack against Israel since the onset of the Gaza war.

Israeli warplanes have launched airstrikes on Yemen's strategic western province of Hudaydah, following threats to retaliate against a prior drone strike by Yemeni armed forces. This marks the first public Israeli attack on Yemen amidst escalating tensions. Yemen's al-Masirah television network reported that the airstrikes hit fuel storage facilities in the port city, causing a fire. The port is crucial for oil exports and serves as a key conduit for civilian goods and humanitarian aid to Yemen. The network also reported casualties from the strikes, though the exact number was not specified.
