Iran Starts 2024 Asian U-20 Volleyball Championship in Style


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran swept past China 3-0 (29-27, 25-21, 25-18) in the 2024 Asian Men's U-20 Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.

Iran, the seven-time champion, will face Chinese Taipei and Qatar in Pool B on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

The ongoing event is the 22nd edition of the Asian Men's U-20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI).

The tournament takes place in Surabaya, Indonesia, from July 23 to 30.

The competitions serve as Asia’s qualification tournament for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship.
