Iran Downs Philippines in 2024 Asian U-18 Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated the Philippines 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 27-25) in the 15th Asian Men’s U-18 Volleyball Championship on Monday.
Iran, who had defeated Lebanon 3-0 in its opening match, will play China on Tuesday.
In the current edition, 16 teams are divided into four groups.
Group A includes Bahrain, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Australia. Group B comprises Japan, Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan. Group C features Iran, China, Lebanon, and the Philippines. Group D consists of India, South Korea, Kuwait, and Pakistan.
The competition started on July 28 and will run until August 4 at the Sport City Main Hall in Isa Town in Bahrain.
