Iran Loses to China in 2024 Asian U-18 Volleyball Championship


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to China 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22, 15-13) in the 15th Asian Men’s U-18 Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.

Iran had defeated Lebanon and the Philippines in Pool B.

The Iranian team advanced to next stage as the second-place team.

In the current edition, 16 teams are divided into four groups.

Group A includes Bahrain, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Australia. Group B comprises Japan, Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan. Group C features Iran, China, Lebanon, and the Philippines. Group D consists of India, South Korea, Kuwait, and Pakistan.

The competition started on July 28 and will run until August 4 at the Sport City Main Hall in Isa Town in Bahrain.
