Iran’s Men’s Sabre Comes 4th in 2024 Olympics


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s sabre team lost to France 45-25 in the 2024 Olympic Games Wednesday night.

Iran was a surprise medal contender after eliminating the second-seeded United States 45-44 in the quarterfinals.

The Republic of South Korea won its third consecutive gold medal in the men's sabre team competition.

The Asian nation, the defending champion, beat Hungary 41-45 in the final, which was held at the Paris 2024 fencing venue at the Grand Palais.
