Shooter Rostamiyan Finishes 6th in 2024 Olympic Games


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian female shooter Haniyeh Rostamiyan finished in sixth place in the Women's 25m Pistol of the 2024 Olympic Games on Saturday.

The first gold medal of the day went to South Korean Yang Jiin. The 21-year-old came through a shoot-off against Camille Jedrzejewski of France to claim the title of Olympic champion.

It's Korea's first gold in this event since London 2012, while Jedrzejewski won France's first shooting medal of Paris 2024. Veronika Major took bronze for Hungary - her nation's first medal ever in this event.
