Yemeni, Iraqi Forces Conduct Joint Operation Against Israel

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni Armed Forces and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq carried out a coordinated attack against the Israeli regime in retaliation for the genocide in Gaza.

Yemen’s Armed Forces announced on Friday that a strategic Israeli target in the port city of Umm al-Rashrash, also known as Eilat, was struck by drones as part of a joint operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

The forces confirmed the successful impact of the drones on the target, emphasizing their intent to continue these military operations until the Israeli brutal assault on Gaza ends and the blockade on the Palestinian people is lifted.

Yemen’s Ansarullah leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, declared that the war with Israel has reached a critical point following the assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr.

"The Zionist regime’s crime of assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr has greatly impacted the region’s state of affairs," al-Houthi stated on Thursday.

He added that these assassinations have significantly influenced the broader situation in West Asia.

Since the beginning of Israeli regime’s war in Gaza in October, Yemeni forces have launched numerous operations in support of the besieged Gazans, targeting locations across the occupied Palestinian territories and attacking Israeli vessels bound for ports in these regions.

The attacks have led several major shipping and oil companies to halt transit through the Suez Canal, opting instead for longer routes around Africa, thereby disrupting one of the world’s key maritime trade routes.
