Israel to Get Iran’s Response, IRGC Warns

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps spokesperson cautioned the Israeli regime that it will inevitably receive Iran’s retaliatory response for the assassination of the political bureau chief of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

“The assassination of Martyr Haniyeh was an example of cognitive and political war with the purpose of fomenting sedition and decreasing the Islamic resistance front’s deterrence,” General Ali Mohammad Naeini said at a cultural event in Qom on Sunday.

Denouncing the Israeli assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran as a brazen violation of the UN Charter, the general said, “The Zionist regime will receive a response for this lunacy in due time.”

The horror of Iran’s response has engulfed the entire occupied territories, the general stated.

He said that the Zionist regime has failed to make up for its military defeats in the field by resorting to assassination, noting that the Israeli regime’s existence and identity are on the brink of collapse.

Haniyeh, who was in Tehran to attend the new Iranian president’s swearing-in ceremony, was martyred in an Israeli operation in the early hours of July 31.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Israeli regime of a "harsh response" for Haniyeh's assassination, calling it the Islamic Republic's duty to avenge the Palestinian resistance leader's blood.
