Tehran to Host Trilateral Meeting to Increase Flight Capacity


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The CEO of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company said a trilateral meeting to be attended by Iran, Pakistan and Oman will be held in Tehran to discuss increasing flight capacity among the three sides.

Speaking to reporters in a news conference, Reza Nakhjavani stated that the trilateral meeting will be held to reach an agreement on air traffic exchange points and increasing the capacity to receive flights from the cities of Tehran in Iran, Muscat in Oman and Karachi in Pakistan.

The deputy minister of roads and urban development pointed out that the airspace of the Northern Indian Ocean and Sea of Oman is controlled by the three countries, IRNA reported.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said meetings are being held with the Iraqi air traffic management to help them in regulating the flow of Arbaeen air traffic to the Iraqi airports.
