Iran Earns Second Win at FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U-17 World Championship


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Tunisia in straight sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-16) in the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U-17 World Championship on Sunday.

Kamyab Abdollahifar led Iran with eight and Tunisia’s Omar Hfaiedh scored eight points.

Iran, who had defeated Libya 3-0 in its opening match, will meet Egypt on Monday in Pool B.

The tournament has brought 16 teams together in Sofia, Bulgaria from August 24 to 31.

The eight teams that prevail in their first elimination matches will move forward to the quarterfinals, while the losers play the playoffs from ninth to 16th place.
