Iran’s Zaker Snatches Silver in 2024 Paralympic Games


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian shot putter Zafar Zaker won a silver medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games Friday night.

He threw 11.88 meters in the men’s shot put F55 and finished in second place.

Bulgarian athlete Ruzhdi Ruzhdi claimed the gold with a throw of 12.40 meters and Poland’s Lech Stoltman won a bronze with 11.81 meters.

Iranian Taekwondo athlete Zahra Rahimi and club thrower Parastoo Habibi had won two silver medals earlier.

Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
