Iranian FM Warns of Israeli Push for Perilous Regional Crisis

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Zionist regime has hatched a plot to escalate regional tensions into a dangerous crisis, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

In a post on his X account on Monday, Araqchi said the Zionist regime continues to commit crimes in Gaza and has steered its killing machine towards the West Bank in order to push the level of tensions in the region to the brink of a perilous crisis.

Stressing the need for the Western supporters of Israel to rein in the Zionist regime, Araqchi said, “If the Western sponsors of Tel Aviv do not prevent the continuation of tensions created and criminal acts committed by that regime, they will be complicit in the consequences of those measures and must be held accountable.”

Israeli forces continue to pound the Gaza Strip, killing dozens of Palestinians, including 11 people sheltering at a school in Gaza City and four traveling in a car near Deir el-Balah.

In the occupied West Bank, the death toll from the Zionist regime’s large-scale raids rose to 29 as the Israeli siege on the Jenin refugee camp entered a sixth day, leaving Palestinians without access to food, water, power, and the Internet.

At least 40,786 Palestinian people have been killed and 94,224 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023.
