Iran Lauds Yemen’s Practical Support for Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign minister of Iran praised the Yemeni nation for backing the Palestinian people in practice while many other countries were only adopting stances against the Israeli regime.

In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Foreign Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen Jamal Ahmed Amer talked about the latest regional developments and the relations between Tehran and Sana’a.

The Yemeni diplomat pointed to the escalation of regional tensions and the military strikes by the US and the UK on his country, stressing that Yemen won’t back down from supporting the Palestinian nation.

He also expressed hope for the expansion of economic cooperation between Yemen and Iran based on their previous agreements.

For his part, Araqchi said constant consultations between Iran and Yemen will significantly help ensure regional security.

He also lauded the Yemeni government and nation’s stances against the Zionist regime’s war crimes in Gaza, saying while many countries only adopted verbal stances against the Israeli regime, the Yemeni nation backed the oppressed Palestinian nation in practice.

Araqchi invited Amer to visit Tehran for further negotiations on bilateral and regional issues.
