Yemen Reaffirms Commitment to Pro-Palestinian Strikes Amid Genocidal War on Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, vowing to continue its operations against Israel in response to the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza.

Defense Minister Major General Mohammed Nasser al-Atifi emphasized that Yemen will not back down from its stance on Gaza, stating that any hesitation or retreat is "impossible and not subject to negotiation or compromise."

Speaking during a ceremony on Saturday, al-Atifi said, "Yemen's powerful and resounding response to the Nazi entity is coming without hesitation or concern. We will meet Zionist madness with Yemeni strength, which they have tasted in the seas."

In a separate development, Yemeni military spokesman Yahya Saria announced that the country's forces had shot down an American-made MQ-9 Reaper drone over Marib province. This marked the eighth Reaper drone downed by Yemeni forces since last fall, as part of Yemen's military campaign in support of Gaza.

Since the Israeli war erupted on October 7, Yemen's Armed Forces have launched numerous strikes against Israeli targets, as the war on Gaza continues to claim thousands of Palestinian lives, mostly women and children. In addition to these attacks, Yemeni forces have targeted Israeli ships, aiming to disrupt the Israeli military's operations and force a halt to the offensive and blockade on Gaza.

Al-Atifi also highlighted Yemen's ongoing efforts to enhance its military capabilities, stating, "We will continue to develop our forces both quantitatively and qualitatively, in line with the latest military doctrines."

Last month, the Yemeni defense chief stressed that the country had carefully studied the weaknesses of its Zionist adversaries, identifying key strategic targets through detailed intelligence analysis.
