Iran Comes 6th at 2024 FIBA U-18 Asia Cup


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to South Korea 66-57 on Monday and finished in sixth place in the 2024 FIBA U-18 Asia Cup.

Korea’s Gu Seungchae led the way with 20 points on a 5-of-7 clip from deep, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal and finished with an efficiency of 23 as he sparked the second-quarter breakaway on the way to beating their West Asian counterparts anew.

Mohammad Heydari and Amir Mahyar Keramati, on the other hand, were the only bright spots for the young Team Melli with 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Australia won the title after defeating New Zealand and China defeated host Jordan to win the bronze.
