Rafael Guijosa Castillo Appointed Iran Handball Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Spanish coach Rafael Guijosa Castillo took charge of Iran’s men’s handball team for the second time.
He replaced Montenegrin coach Veselin Vujovic in the national team.
Guijosa, 55, led Iran from 2012 to 2014 and helped Team Melli win a solitary medal in the Asian championship, beating the UAE in the bronze-medal match in 2014.
He won two bronze medals with Spain as a player in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
