Iran Restates Support for Anti-Israel Resistance


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed Tehran’s unwavering support for the resistance forces, including those in Lebanon, in the struggle against the Zionist regime’s occupation.

Salah Fahs, the representative of the Lebanese Amal Movement in Iran, met with Araqchi in Tehran on Monday.

In the meeting, Fahs extended congratulations from Lebanese Parliament Speaker and leader of Amal Movement Nabih Berri to Araqchi on his appointment as Iran’s top diplomat and wished him success in his post.

For his part, the Iranian foreign minister thanked Nabih Berri for his congratulatory message and sent his warm regards to the Lebanese parliament speaker.

Araqchi also hailed Berri’s political stance and actions in support of the resistance and also praised the presence and sacrifices of the Amal Movement fighters alongside the Hezbollah fighters in the battle against the Zionist regime's aggression on Lebanon and their support for Palestine and the oppressed people of Gaza, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

The foreign minister also reaffirmed the continuation of the principled policy of Iran in support of the resistance against the occupation of the Zionist regime.

In the meeting, the two officials discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the wider region.
