Rumors Denied about Health of Iran’s Beirut Envoy after Pager Blasts

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s embassy in Lebanon denied rumors that Iranian envoy to Beirut Mojtaba Amani has lost his sight in the wake of Tuesday’s pager explosions in the Arab country.

In a post on its official X account, the Iranian embassy in Lebanon said the rumors about the physical hhealth and the conditions of Amani’s sight are lacking in credibility.

It noted that the Iranian ambassador is receiving good medical care.

Hezbollah has promised to continue its “blessed operations to support Gaza, its people, and its resistance”, despite the pager explosions that have killed at least nine people and wounded nearly 2,800 others across Lebanon and Syria.

The Lebanese resistance group said it holds the Israeli regime “fully responsible” for the attacks that left at least 200 people in critical condition.

Reports came out that Iran’s ambassador to Beirut has been injured after the pager of his bodyguard exploded in close proximity.
