Sepahan Coach Jose Morais Lauds Al Wehdat
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team head coach Jose Morais heaped praise on Al Wehdat for its 2-1 win in the 2024-25 AFC Champions League Two.
Sepahan lost to Jordanian team 2-1 in Amman in Group C.
“Al Wehdat played teamwork football with high spirit, and therefore deserved to achieve the victory,” said Morais.
“The match was difficult for both sides, and our success in scoring the first goal put additional pressure on us. Al Wehdat players' reaction was very distinctive, and I believe that they presented a performance that reflects their club and fans.”
Sepahan will face Tajikistan’s FC Istiklol next on October 2 while Al Wehdat travel to play UAE’s Sharjah FC.
