Iran Air Cancels Flights to Beirut

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The flag carrier of Iran has suspended its flights to Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport in Lebanon’s capital.

The spokesperson for Iran Air announced on Saturday that the airline’s flights bound for Beirut will be put on hold until further notice.

Hessam Qorbanali noted that Iran Air will provide the necessary information as soon as the flights to Beirut resume.

The decision came after Secretary General of Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah was martyred in a massive Israeli air attack on Beirut’s densely populated Dahiyeh neighborhood on Friday evening that reduced several residential buildings to rubble.
