Persepolis, Pakhtakor Share Spoils in AFC Champions League Elite
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team of Iran was held to a 1-1 draw by Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in 2024-25 AFC Champions League Elite on Monday.
Pakhtakor’s Dragan Ceran cancelled out Ali Alipour’s first minute opener in the 59th minute as the side from Uzbekistan took a well deserved point from their rivals from Iran in Tehran’s Shar-e Qods Stadium.
Both sides were eager to bounce after having suffered defeats in their respective openers.
Pakhtakor will travel to face Iraq’s Al Shorta next on October 21 while Persepolis is away to Qatar’s Al Sadd SC.
