Iran’s Tabiat Learns Fate in 2024-25 FIBA WASL

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian basketball club Tabiat discovered who it will have to face off in the highly-awaited 2024-25 FIBA West Asia Super League (FIBA WASL).

Held online, the draw was attended by the representatives of the participating clubs.

Tabiat of Iran has been drawn in Pool A along with Al Wahda of Syria and Lebanese side Sagesse.

Pool B consists of Al Riyadi Beirut Club, Al Difaa Al Jawi of Iraq and Jordan’s Amman United Club.

The top seeds by the conclusion of the double round-robin Group Phase will earn outright berths to the best-of-3 Semi-Finals.

The second and third-ranked teams, on the other hand, will have to go through the cross-over Qualification to Semi-Finals, which is also a best-of-3.

The top three teams from both West Asia and Persian Gulf Leagues will qualify for the FIBA WASL Final 8, where they will be joined by the champions of South and Central Asia.

The FIBA WASL 2024-25 tips off on October 14, beginning with the Persian Gulf League.

The West Asia League, meanwhile, has been rescheduled to a December 4 start date due to the current severe security situation across some West Asia countries.
