Iranian Foreign Minister Visits Syria

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araqchi has traveled to Syria after a visit to Lebanon.

The top Iranian diplomat arrived in Damascus on Saturday morning during a tour that took him earlier to Beirut.

Araqchi has focused his diplomatic efforts on the settlement of crisis in Gaza and Lebanon in the wake of the Israeli regime’s heightened military attacks on civilians.

The top Iranian foreign minister is going to hold meetings with his Syrian counterpart Bassam Sabbagh and Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali.

During his unannounced visit to Beirut, Araqchi held talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon Nabih Berri.
