Iran Exports over $23 Million of Fabrics in H1: IRICA


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – About 9,500 tons of various types of fabrics, valued at $23.5 million, were exported from Iran in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2024), the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced.

Iran’s export of fabrics from March 21 to September 21, 2024 registered an eight and a seven percent growth in weight and value, respectively compared to last year’s corresponding period, IRICA added.

In this period, Iran imported 86,800 tons of various types of fabrics, valued at $451.6 million, showing an 18 and a 26 percent growth in weight and value, respectively as compared to the same period last year.

Iran’s fabrics were mainly exported to neighboring Iraq in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, the report added.
