Iran Sympathizes with Bosnia over Flood Victims
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed sympathy for Bosnia and Herzegovina after flash floods killed over 20 people in the southeast European country.
“We were deeply saddened by the news of serious damage caused by the heavy rains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We offer our sincere condolences to the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and our brothers and sisters in the country, especially to the families whose loved ones lost their lives or were wounded in the flooding,” Esmaeil Baqaei said in a post on his X account.
“In this difficult time, the Iranian people and government stand by you as always, and we declare our solidarity with all those affected by the incident,” he added.
At least 21 people died in floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday and many others were missing as torrential rain and landslides destroyed homes, roads and bridges across the center of the country.
