Resistance Groups Continue Anti-Zionist Operations amid Israel's Assault on Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Amid Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed almost 41,900 Palestinians so far, with the majority of victims being children, resistance forces across Palestine and the region have escalated their operations against the Israeli regime and its Western allies.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah launched three salvos of rockets and missiles at Israeli soldiers stationed in Manara, northern Israel, in the early hours of Sunday. Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for earlier attacks on Israeli troops attempting to infiltrate Lebanon through Khallet Shuaib in Blida, forcing the Israeli forces to retreat.

In response, Israel’s military reported that a navy warship successfully intercepted two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) off the northern coast, launched from the east. Israeli military also claimed that its fighter jets intercepted a UAV off the coast of Tel Aviv in central Israel.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance group Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces and their military vehicles in Silat Al-Harithiya, a town in the occupied West Bank, using machine guns and explosive devices. The group also reported intense clashes with Israeli forces storming the city of Tubas, also in the occupied West Bank, using machine guns in defense.

The Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades carried out operations targeting the Kissufim military site in southeastern Gaza with a rocket barrage on the same day.

Hezbollah, known for its active involvement in resistance efforts, conducted multiple operations on Oct. 5. These included targeting Israeli infantry forces in the towns of Odaisseh and Al-Odaisseh, resulting in prolonged clashes. The resistance group also launched rocket barrages at various Israeli military sites and settlements, including Kfar Yuval, Kfar Giladi, and Khallet Abeer in Yir’on. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for destroying a Merkava tank advancing toward Al-Bat Heights near the Maroun forest, using a guided missile.

Hezbollah further intensified its operations by targeting several strategic locations, including the Ramat David military base and settlements such as Sasa and Karmiel with rocket barrages. The group also targeted the occupied city of Safad and Israeli military barracks and gatherings in the Dan settlement with heavy rocket fire. Other key targets included the Ma’ale Golani barracks, ELTA military industries near Sakhnin, and gatherings of Israeli soldiers in Katzrin and Jal Al-Deir.

The Lebanese resistance also targeted Israeli soldiers’ movements at several sites, including Bayad Blida and Manara settlement, with artillery shells and rockets. A major aerial attack was launched by Hezbollah using a squadron of drones to strike the Samson Base, a key command preparation center in northern Israel.

In a separate development, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched a significant operation on Sunday, attacking the suburbs of the occupied Haifa in northern Israel with an advanced Arqab cruise missile. The Iraqi resistance group followed up with another strike in the southern occupied territories. They also claimed responsibility for targeting three vital Israeli military sites in the north of the occupied territories with drone barrages.

As the Israeli war continues to escalate, resistance groups across the region show no sign of backing down, responding to Israeli aggressions with increasing force.
