Various Scenarios Lie in Store for Confronting Israel: IRGC Navy Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy warned the Israeli prime minister not to play with fire, saying Iran has drawn up a series of scenarios to confront the enemies.

In an interview with Al-Alam News Network, Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said Iran is fully prepared to deal with any circumstances, as the Zionist regime has ratcheted up the rhetoric of military action against the Islamic Republic.

Highlighting the emphasis that Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei places on Iran’s absolute preparedness and vigilance in the face of normal or emergency conditions in the region, the commander said, “One of those cases is (Israeli prime minister Benjamin) Netanyahu playing with fire and igniting its flames. We have designed various trainings even for that issue.”

The IRGC Navy chief noted that Iran has plans for every situation, one of which includes a contingency plan to address the incidents in the future. “We have drawn up a series of scenarios for a clash with the enemy.”

In a statement a few days ago, the Defense Ministry of Iran said the retaliatory missile attack that hit Israeli military targets in the occupied territories on October 1 was only a small portion of Iran’s defense capabilities.

On October 1, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime’s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.

While the Zionist regime has threatened to retaliate, Iranian officials have warned that Tehran’s reciprocal response to any Israeli action will be harsh, proportional and well-calculated.
