World Taekwondo Junior Championships: Ashrafi Named MVP
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Amir Mohammad Ashrafi of Iran was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships.
He claimed the gold medal in the men’s +78kg in the Championships held in Chuncheon, South Korea from October 1 to 6.
Iran’s girls team finished in first place, followed by South Korea and Croatia. Iran’s boys team also came first above Korea and Uzbekistan.
Feizoallah Nafjam was chosen as Best Men Team Coach and Fatemeh Safarpoor won the Best Women Team Coach accolade.
Iranian athletes won seven gold medals as well as two bronzes in the competition.
