Foolad Beats Tractor: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad football team defeated Tractor 2-1 in Matchweek 7 of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Tomislav Štrkalj was on target for Tractor in Tabriz’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium in the 41st minute. Tractor went down to 10-man after Igor Postonjski was sent off in the 45th minute for receiving his second yellow card.
In the dying moments of the first half, Sina Asadbeigi scored a goal with a curling shot from distance.
Foolad forward Sasan Ansari scored the visiting team’s second goal in the 54th minute.
Foolad leapfrogged Tractor and moved to fourth place while Tractor moved down one spot to fifth.
