Israeli Military Reports 53 Injured amid Retaliatory Strikes by Resistance Groups

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli military confirmed that 53 personnel were injured within 24 hours as resistance groups, including Hezbollah, have increased operations in response to the regime’s atrocities in the region.

The Israeli military announced the casualty figure on Saturday, adding that 15 of the wounded are in critical condition.

Additionally, 17 settlers were reported injured in retaliatory strikes by Lebanon’s Hezbollah. These attacks targeted areas around Akka, Shlomi, and Haifa, located in the northern parts of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Hezbollah also launched rocket barrages at Israeli military gatherings across several locations, including Malikiyah, al-Basah, Zarit, Rosh Pinna, Abirim, Kiryat Ata, and the vicinity of Avivim.

In another operation, the resistance group hit a Merkava tank with a guided missile near Zarit, resulting in its destruction and inflicting casualties among those inside. Further strikes targeted Safad, a military base in the Nasher area, and the Beit Hillel barracks.

The Lebanese group stated that it had repelled multiple Israeli military advances into southern Lebanon. It said the operations were carried out “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in defense of Lebanon and its people.”

Hezbollah emphasized that its resistance would continue: “The Islamic Resistance will remain present and ready to defend our country and our proud oppressed people and will not hesitate to do its duty to deter the enemy from its arrogance and injustice.”

Since last October, Hezbollah has intensified retaliatory actions against Israeli forces, coinciding with Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which has reportedly claimed over 42,500 Palestinian lives. The escalation has also led to deadly Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Iraqi resistance groups carried out drone strikes on Saturday, hitting a target in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and another in the port of Eilat in the southern occupied territories.
