Israel’s Bombing Campaign Kills 143 in Gaza, 77 in Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday killed 143 Palestinians across Gaza, most in the northern region, while bombings in Lebanon left 77 people dead, according to health officials.

In Gaza, the latest wave of airstrikes hit various areas, with medical sources telling Al Jazeera that 143 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday. Among the casualties, 132 were recorded in northern Gaza, as relentless bombing continues across the territory.

The United Nations humanitarian agency (OCHA) reported seven major Israeli attacks in Gaza between October 22 and 29, resulting in mass casualties.

On October 24, Israeli forces bombed a residential block of 11 houses in the Jabalia refugee camp, killing or wounding between 150 to 200 people.

The same day, 17 Palestinians, including nine children, were killed and 52 others injured in an attack on the Ash Shuhada school located in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Between October 24 and 25, 38 Palestinians, mostly women and children, were killed, and many others injured when Israeli forces destroyed residential buildings in the Qizan an-Najjar and al-Manara areas of Khan Younis, with 20 people reported missing.

In northern Beit Lahiya, 25 people were killed on October 25 following the bombing of two houses.

The next day, at least 30 people were killed and dozens more wounded in another strike on a residential block in Beit Lahiya.

On October 27, 11 Palestinians, including four women and a young girl, died in an Israeli attack on Asma school, a UNRWA-run facility in the Shati refugee camp.

The most devastating attack came on October 29, when at least 93 people were killed or went missing after another bombing of a residential building in Beit Lahiya. This toll does not include a recent strike on Tuesday evening that killed at least 19 more people in the same area.

Since the outbreak of Israeli genocidal war on October 7, at least 43,061 people have been killed, and 101,223 injured in Gaza, according to Palestinian health officials.

Meanwhile, Israel’s air campaign in Lebanon has also intensified, with at least 77 people killed on Tuesday in strikes targeting Sarafand and Haret Saida, near Sidon.

Lebanese health officials confirmed that many of the victims in those attacks were women and children. Since the Israeli attacks began, 2,787 people have been killed, and 12,772 have been wounded in Lebanon.
