Israel Strikes Syrian Town near Lebanon Border: State Media

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Israeli airstrike targeted several residential buildings in Qusayr, a town in Syria’s southern Homs province near the Lebanon border, state news agency SANA reported.

According to the report, the attack caused “material damage” in Qusayr’s industrial zone and some nearby residential neighborhoods.

Israel has conducted repeated strikes on Syria since October 7, last year, when Tel Aviv launched its ongoing genocidal war in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Israeli regime typically refrains from commenting on its operations in Syrian territories, which some analysts view as reactions to Syria’s ongoing campaign against terrorist groups in the region.

Syria has repeatedly urged the UN Security Council to halt Israel's operations, condemning them as violations of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
