Iran Will Duly Respond to Israel, FM Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign minister of Iran promised that Tehran’s reaction to the Zionist regime’s most recent act of aggression will take place at the appropriate time.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Pakistani counterpart Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held in Islamabad on Tuesday, Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran, unlike the Israeli regime, is not seeking tensions.

However, Iran will respond to the Zionist regime’s act of aggression in due time, he said, referring to the Israeli attack that took the lives of four Iranian servicemen and a civilian on October 26.

Denouncing the Israeli regime’s genocidal crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, Araqchi bemoaned the fact that the international community has failed to contain the Israeli atrocities.

The Iranian minister also pointed to his discussions with his Pakistani counterpart on regional developments, saying they have emphasized the need to strengthen the political, commercial, cultural and scientific relations between Tehran and Islamabad.

“Terrorism is a challenge in our region. Iran and Pakistan are currently fighting against terrorism. In the meeting, we emphasized the necessity of cooperation between the two countries in the war on terrorism,” Araqchi added.

The Iranian foreign minister has stepped up diplomatic efforts in recent weeks to address the regional conflicts and put an end to the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

In the past month, he has visited Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Bahrain and Kuwait in recent weeks.
