Six Palestinians Martyred as Israeli Forces Conduct Major Operation in Jenin

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces have launched an incursion into the West Bank city of Jenin, resulting in the martyrdom of six Palestinians, as intense clashes with local fighters continue.

Israel’s military has stormed Jenin in the occupied West Bank, where heavy clashes are underway with Palestinian resistance groups attempting to push back the incursion.

Local media report six Palestinians have been killed in the area during recent Israeli operations.

In the Jenin neighborhood of Balata al-Balad, east of Nablus, a Palestinian man was shot by Israeli forces, the Palestinian Information Center reported, though the man’s current condition is unknown.

Israeli bulldozers have also been destroying infrastructure in Jenin. The Jenin Battalion, an armed faction of the al-Quds Brigades under Palestinian Islamic Jihad, has claimed responsibility for engaging Israeli forces in “fierce battles,” according to Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency.

The group reported using an improvised explosive device (IED) against an Israeli military vehicle in the city, adding to the heavy exchange of gunfire in the area.

These developments come amid intensified Israeli military operations across the Jenin governorate, with fatalities reported in the towns of Qabatiya and Muthalath al-Shuhada.
